A Note From Sadia

Greetings everyone! I’m Sadia, the founder of Vitalize Skin Clinic in Markham, Ontario. Starting this clinic wasn’t just a business move—it was personal. As someone who spent years searching through beauty clinics trying to make informed decisions with very little guidance, I wanted to create a space that felt different. Clear, honest, and rooted in care. If you’re curious about who we are and what makes us a little different, let me walk you through it.

The Heart Behind Our Focus on Skin

For me, confidence begins with skin. Not in a superficial way—but in the sense that when your skin feels healthy, it can shift your entire mood. Skin is the canvas we all carry around every day, and when it looks and feels good, it does something to how we carry ourselves. People notice. More importantly, you notice.

I’ve always believed that powerful changes don’t always need to be invasive. Sometimes it’s the simpler tools—microneedling, lasers, facials, peels, great skincare—used with knowledge and intention, that make the biggest impact. The key is knowing what works, for who, and when. What looks like a simple facial might be the thing that gives someone the confidence to stop covering up with makeup every day.

From the Classroom into Practice

One thing you should know is that the aesthetics industry in Canada isn’t tightly regulated. That means anyone can pick up a laser and call themselves an expert. I wasn’t okay with that.

When I started out, I committed to learning everything I could. I studied laser aesthetics at Elite College of Business and Healthcare—14 weeks, over 100 hours of hands-on experience with laser hair removal, tattoo removal, pigmentation and scar treatments, body contouring, and more. That was just the beginning.

I earned a microneedling certification from George Brown College, trained by a retired dermatologist who introduced me to the TWIST by Dermaroller. It’s now the device we trust and use at the clinic. I chose it not just because it works well, but because it aligns with the level of care and precision I want every client to receive. It’s reliable, it’s medical-grade, and I’ve seen firsthand how it transforms skin.

At Seneca College, I continued with skin-focused courses, learning about the anatomy of the skin, skin analysis, product knowledge, facial massage techniques, hygiene, extractions, and relevant contraindications. All the things that matter when someone’s trusting you with their face. Every step of that education added another layer of confidence, not just for me—but for the clients I now treat.

Building Vitalize from Experience

Before launching Vitalize, I worked at several medical spas around the Greater Toronto Area. The experience taught me more than school ever could. I met clients with all skin types, tones, and concerns. I watched what worked, what didn’t, and how client care could either make or break the experience.

There’s something humbling about seeing someone walk in with uncertainty and walk out with relief. That stuck with me. The idea for Vitalize came from those moments. I wanted to offer treatments with intention, using only technology and products approved by Health Canada. No shortcuts. No guesswork. Just honest, personalized care.

What We Actually Do

Yes, we offer laser hair removal, microneedling, facials, chemical peels, and skin rejuvenation treatments. But the service list isn’t the point.

What matters is how we do them.

Take our laser hair removal for example. We use the Candela GentleMax Pro because it works safely and effectively across a wide range of skin tones. That really matters when you’ve seen the kind of damage low-powered devices can cause. Clients who had poor results elsewhere have seen real progress with us in just a few sessions. It’s about safety. It’s about trust.

Laser hair removal is one of the top services performed at Vitalize Skin Clinic, and it was of utmost importance to invest in the correct technology—one that was effective and safe for a diverse range of skin types, ethnic backgrounds, and hair types. I chose the Candela Gentlemax Pro, an industry-leading laser hair removal device that uses two distinct wavelengths: the Nd: YAG 1064nm (considered the gold standard for dark skin types) and the Alexandrite 755nm, which is ideal for light skin types.

I knew I wanted to spare no expense investing in this device for my business, given my experience performing laser hair removal on lower-powered devices, including diode lasers or blended wavelengths, which I found to be less effective—especially on darker skin types, which are inherently more complex to treat.

The results I can achieve on the Candela GentleMax Pro are far quicker and more effective than any laser device I have worked with in the past. I’ve had dark-skinned clients who bounced from clinic to clinic, only to see minimal results—then came to us and saw progress in just a few sessions. That means something.

Apart from laser hair removal, the Candela device can also effectively treat pigmented lesions like freckles, sunspots, and age spots. It can even be used for laser facials focused on tightening and overall skin rejuvenation.

The same level of intention applies to our microneedling. It’s not just about collagen—it’s about texture, tone, and confidence. You start noticing how your skin catches the light again. How makeup sits better. How you don’t feel the need to reach for concealer every morning.

Facials? Not cookie-cutter. Every treatment is adapted for your skin that day, not just what’s on the menu. We check in. We assess. We adjust. Some days your skin needs deep exfoliation; other days, it needs hydration and calm. That’s how we treat it—like something living, not just a surface.

What Sets Us Apart

We don’t rush treatments. We don’t oversell. And we definitely don’t treat clients like a number. Every visit is a conversation. Every decision is made with your skin’s long-term health in mind.

We’ve invested in equipment we believe in, but more importantly, in creating an experience that makes people feel heard. Everything we use—from technology to tools to serums—is something we’ve researched, tested, and trust. And we’re always learning. Always evolving. Because that’s what your skin does too.
